North Carolina summers are known for two things: heat and humidity. Because of this, many residents flock to swimming pools this time of year, whether in their back yard (residential) or a local community (commercial). Pools are a great way to relax and beat the heat. They also require a lot of upkeep, including annual or bi-annual Swimming Pool Electrical Inspections.

While older pools are at the highest risk, ALL pools should be inspected annually or bi-annually. Aging electrical wiring, faulty underwater lighting, sump pumps, vacuums, and other electrical equipment require periodic inspections to ensure everything is safe, working properly, up to code, and protected by Ground-Fault Circuit-Interrupters (GFCIs) – the best safety device to prevent electrocution.
