If you have been living in North Carolina for any length of time you will know that thunderstorms are a pretty common occurrence and it is likely that sooner or later a strike will hit home either directly or indirectly. While direct hits can cause extreme damage and/or fire, indirect hits can come into your electrical system and do the same. One lighting surge can cause tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage not to mention higher homeowners insurance premiums and inconvenience. The smaller plug strips with surge protection are good secondary protection against surges but do little good when it comes to strikes that are associated with the high voltage generated by lightning. Having a licensed electrician install a whole house surge protector and using the smaller individual surge protectors will greatly reduce the risk of failures.
We always offer whole house surge protectors to our customers at a reduced rate.
